PATENT TRADEMARK ATTORNEY

Dr. Allen Danner is a principal of the Danner IP Law Firm. He has extensive experience as an attorney, a research scientist, an engineer, and an entrepreneur. Allen holds a Ph.D. and an M.S.E.E. from the University of Southern California in Electrical Engineering – Electrophysics, a B.S. from the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee in Physics, and a J.D. degree from the Southwestern University School of Law.

Allen is an experienced attorney having dealt in matters including preparing and prosecuting patent and trademark applications and counseling clients on intellectual property matters. Allen’s patent prosecution includes electrical engineering, physics, software, photonic, semiconductor, and mechanical arts.

ENTREPRENEUR EXPERIENCE

Allen’s experience as a founder of an electronics company and an eCommerce Internet company, provides him with the insight on needs of a technical entrepreneur. Allen started Pinnacle Instruments Inc., an electronics company which was later sold to a subsidiary of a Fortune 500 company. He was primarily responsible for the business development, management, product design, and manufacturing of electronic test equipment for the electro-optic industries. He later founded digital MAIN STREET, an Internet company specializing in bringing e-commerce solutions to small and mid-sized companies.

TECHNICAL ACCOMPLISHMENTS

  • Developed and programmed an E-Commerce, Java Software App
  • Designed Microprocessor-Based Optical Power Meters for Use in the Optoelectronics Applications
  • Developed software Applications for Microprocessor-Based products and Desktop PC Controllers. Fluent in C, C++, Machine Language and Java.
  • Group Manager for a start-up high-power semiconductor laser company where he was responsible for the design, characterization, and reliability for high-power laser diode arrays as well as compact, solid-state Ne:YAG laser systems.
  • Published researcher in the fields of semiconductor electro-optic devices including laser diodes, semiconductor optical detectors, high speed transistors, and compound semiconductor materials grown by Metal Organic Chemical Vapor Deposition (MOCVD).
